Wow what a busy, busy month for me! I've been all over the place doing a million things this month. I guess I could say I have finally settled in to my new place but my life has been nothing but settled! When surrounded with distractions, it's hard to stick to the routine. My plan is to try to get back into posting more regularly but until then, please bear with me. ^_^” This month's favorites are mostly new stuff but there is an old favorite item included as well. Ready to see? Then, let's get started!

Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist’s Palette (US$55 | Sephora)

Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist’s Palette

I don't know what is it about this palette that I can't seem to stop using! I have a couple of new palettes that I probably should be testing but I always find myself grabbing this one. I am absolutely crazy in love with African Violet which is such a gorgeous, gorgeous pink purple color with a stunning golden sheen. It's also such a super versatile shade as you can pretty much pair it with any colors in the palette and it will still look good! This palette is truly a no-brainer and if you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend you do so ASAP! For a complete review including EOTD, head over to my review on this page.

MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation (US$32 | Nordstrom)

MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation

Finally a medium-to-full coverage, satin-matte foundation that lasts through heat and humidity! I have nothing but positive experience with this MAC foundation. True that it isn't the easiest base to apply to achieve a natural finish (I use a Beautyblender and really take my time blending it into my skin) but I think it's worth the extra effort. I don't mind spending a little longer during application to ensure that it stays on my face for a really long time until I take it off. It doesn't ever transfer or slide off my face even it's hot out (and it's hot out every single day around here, hmmph!!). For a thorough review, check out my full post right here.

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Bittersweet (US$26 | Nordstrom // Thailand ฿1,000 | Sephora)

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Bittersweet

Finding a bright purple blush is hard but finding a bright purple blush that is wearable is even harder! So I guess you can imagine my excitement when I laid my eyes (and hands) on this beaut! Even if you are not a purple blush wearer, I still encourage you to try the excellent formula. It's ultra pigmented, buildable, blendable, and with a matte finish that lasts and lasts. Urban Decay has again created yet another exceptional product with a reasonable price! For a complete review including FOTD, visit this page.

La Mer The Broad Spectrum SPF 50 UV Protecting Fluid (US$85 | Nordstrom)

La Mer The Broad Spectrum SPF 50 UV Protecting Fluid

I'm on a full on sunscreen mode right now because my current work desk is facing and literally about 10 feet away from a clear glass window. So even though I work indoors, I still have to apply my sunscreen deliberately. My June's sunscreen of choice is this uber expensive one from La Mer that I forgot I had! I've been falling in love with it all over again this month. It is a broad spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen with a creamy, lightweight texture that sinks in quickly without leaving a white cast on the skin. Still not crazy about the scent the second time around but luckily it vanishes quickly! More review on this right here.

Tom Ford Shimmering Body Oil (US$95 | Nordstrom)

Tom Ford Shimmering Body Oil

Last but not least! My absolute favorite product of the month is this gorgeous, most luxurious Shimmering Body Oil by Tom Ford! I wasn't even a body oil person to begin with but now I am a total convert! Not only does the oil feel and smell super luxe, it also contains plenty of ultra-fine gold and platinum shimmers that will turn your skin from dull and average to stunning and glistening in seconds! Unfortunately the product is sold out online everywhere last I checked (except Amazon, with crazy markups of course). Do check with your local Tom Ford counter, though, because this item is totally worth tracking down in my opinion. Read here for my full review!

What are your favorites this month? :)

  • Beauty bloss says:

Fabulous favourites! I’m also in lurve with the Laura Mercier palette. It’s so so beautiful and not only are the colours amazing, the quality is too.

  • Sunny says:

Oh yay, I remember all of these on your blog!

My favorites haven’t changed much since May, which means I keep rotating the very warm cream/stick eyeshadows, orangey-coral blushes, and orangey-coral lipsticks. I know it’s horrible that I literally keep doing the same look with slightly different products, but I can’t help myself!

    • Jaa says:

LOL same here, Sunny! Except I keep wearing pink on me! Coral is such a pretty color on you, though, so I don’t see any problems here! ;)

  • Xuvious says:

That blush is a head turner for me, I keep staring at the colour!

    • Jaa says:

Me, too! Normally I don’t keep many products on my vanity once I review them but this one gets to stay! Such gorgeous shade I have a hard time stop looking and using it! :D

  • Kimmy says:

The MAC waterproof foundation is high up on my list. I went to our local twice to look for it, this past weekend and the weekend before. Surprisingly, they had gotten the shipment of the foundation (it takes us so long to get the new stuff) – but guess what? The testers weren’t in the shipments – so they hadn’t displayed them yet and there was no way for me to see what shade worked best – can you believe that? Ugh.

    • Jaa says:

WHAT?! No way! I didn’t know they had separate testers for their products. I thought they just opened new products and use them as testers! I hope the third time is a charm for you, though! Fingers crossed!

  • Lily says:

I love that La Mer sunscreen too! I wish there’s a lighter foundation that stays the whole day though… I tend to avoid full coverage foundations :-)

  • Lulle says:

I have been wanting African Violet for months now, but I can’t decide if I should buy it as a single or go for a palette that includes it, lol! Beauty addict problems…

    • Jaa says:

Haha I feel ya! If none of the other colors in the palette interests you, I think buying a single is probably a good idea! Even I want to buy the single as a backup myself! :D

  • I think a great, lightweight sunscreen is definitely worth spending money.
And if I was in Thailand, I wouldn’t be working ever again!

  • Liz says:

That TF oil looks soooo dreamy. Do you see shimmer on the skin? I love oils but don’t want shimmery bits around. What does it smell like??

    • Jaa says:

(Un)fortunately you do see shimmery bits on the skin with this oil! But that’s my favorite part about it! ^_^ It smells of yummy coconut-vanilla!

  • Annie says:

I simply adore the TF Simmering Body Oil! I only made the tiniest dent in my current bottle and I already got a back up!
just the best I have ever tried this far! ;)
    have a lovely day!

    • Jaa says:

Wow, you got a backup! You go girl! :D I don’t know if it’s the best out there because I haven’t tried anything like it before. But I’ll trust you that it is! ;D

  • Completely unrelated, but my heart weeps seeing so much product oozing out of that La Mer sunscreen, lol! I wouldn’t let a DROP go to waste, not even for the sake of getting a gorgeous product shot, haha.

    • Jaa says:

LOL I think someone commented the same thing in my La Mer sunscreen review! Those days are long gone, though. The days that I “ruined” my makeup for the sake of getting “interesting” product photos! I used to scratch the surface of new eyeshadows and melt/chop off the lipstick bullets, too. LOL!

  • Laura says:

The Purple blush looks incredible! A must try for the makeup wardrobe

  • Erin says:

I wish the LA MER was cheaper so I could try it! My skin is so picky about sunscreen!

  • indusvanitybits says:

I am eyeing that Laura Mercier Eye Palette. Lovely post.
