May is a month of happiness for me because… I finally reunited with all my makeup! (Stuff was shipped by sea and it took nearly 2 months to get here!) I was happy to see that everything arrived intact, not a single piece missing or broken. Even my brushes are all in perfect condition! Probably due to the excessive over-wrapping but it's all worth it at the end. I'm probably the first-ever beauty blogger to ship the entire makeup stash across continents! Hmm, maybe I should do a blog post about this? ;D

Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Sheer Obsessed (US$22 | Nordstrom)

Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Sheer Obsessed

This month I fell in love again with Urban Decay Sheer Obsessed! Oh what a great, great nude-pink lipstick! Looks great with any makeup (literally), has great pigmentation (for a sheer formula), is comfortable to wear (doesn't feel like you're wearing anything!), plumps lips (who doesn't like a fuller lip look?), and provides high shine (glossy lipstick fan right here!). Can we also mention the beautiful yet edgy packaging? So Urban Decay-style! For a full review including arm and lip swatches, check out my post right here.

Eve Lom Brightening Cream (US$110 | Space NK)

Eve Lom Brightening Cream

I'm in a full-on mode to lighten all these acne scars on my cheeks! One of the product I'm using that I think has played a big helping part is the newly-launched Eve Lom Brightening Cream. It has a lovely gel-cream texture that is so hydrating and a rose scent so divine you can't stop sniffing. I'm almost 6 weeks into it now and I have definitely seen improvements on my scars. My skin overall also looks a bit brighter and more even-toned. I can't wait to see what my skin will look like once I finish the jar! Check out my complete review of this cream on this page.

Benefit Dream Screen Invisible Silky-Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Sunscreen for Face (US$32 | Benefit // Thailand ฿1,350 | Sephora)

Benefit Dream Screen Invisible Silky-Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Sunscreen for Face

Living in a sunny weather, my sunscreen game is strong! This one by Benefit is perfect for a casual day, or any day really, because it has a ridiculously, airy light texture. It feels more like emulsion than cream to me. Goes on super easy and sets nicely to a super silky and slightly matte finish. It doesn't interfere with makeup layered on top. In fact, it provides a nice, smoothing base! There is no “typical” sunscreen smell, white cast, or sticky or tacky feel afterwards. See my full review right here! :)

Tom Ford Cream Cheek Color in Pink Sand (US$65 | Nordstrom)

Tom Ford Cream Cheek Color in Pink Sand

The first-ever cream blush from the brand I love! Pink Sand is a rose gold-pink cheek color with a stunning golden shimmery sheen. I can't get enough of the gorgeous, youthful glow it gives my cheeks! I'd love to recommend this product to everyone but my concern is that anyone with darker skin might not see much of the effect due to the translucent consistency and sheer coverage. It doesn't dry-down to a traditional powdery finish but you can count on it staying dewy and glowy throughout the wear! See my complete review on this page.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick (US$44 | Sephora // Thailand ฿1,900 | Central)

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick

This product might not be the best option for oily skin, as noted in my review here, but besides that, I honestly love and have been enjoying using this cream foundation stick this month! Extremely portable, awesome customizable coverage, excellent skin tone match, beautiful skin-like finish, and not to mention quick, easy and fuss-free application! It is a foundation of choice for my trips (and boy, did I go on trips a lot this month!).

And that's it! I hope you liked my picks! Don't forget to share with me your May favorites in the comments! :)

YES, please do a blog post about your packing! I’d love to see that!

I’ve tried the Bobbi Brown foundation stick, but like some of her base products, it is way too emollient for my skin type.

  • Cindy says:

I did the same thing with my makeup collection — couldn’t bear to be without it for 3 months, though I’m definitely going to have to go through it and pare it down. I have one of those sheer UD lipsticks but I think it was limited edition so I was using it sparingly. Might pull out out again before it goes bad xD

    • Jaa says:

Oh where did you move your collection from? What limited edition color do you have? For some reason I’m curious to know!! Hehe

      • Cindy says:

It was just from NorCal to SoCal so it wasn’t too bad. Lucky for me, my collection fit into a box and a large duffel bag. Illicit was the limited edition color and at first I didn’t like it but after a while, the sheer color grew on me :)

  • I need a blog post about packing. Last time I moved there was so much broken, so I dread moving again!
My last move was way before I started blogging, so I can only imagine how much damage would be done now.

I put them back in their original boxes so that helps a lot. My bf also helped me build all these big foam-insulated boxes to put them in so that’s another layer of protection. The shipping company then puts your stuff in another big container so I think shipping by sea is a lot more safe and gentle than shipping by air (where your stuff tends to get thrown around a lot). I’d be very, very scared to ship all my makeup by air!

  • Lily says:

May favourites hhmmm… Tom Ford Naked Bronze! I didn’t expect to fall head over heels for it. And Diornude Air pressed powder. So light, it feels like nothing on the skin, but blurs imperfection like an ace :-)

  • Erin says:

I’ve got to try the Benefit sunscreen! Have you found any good Asian sunscreens since you’re been back?

    • Jaa says:

Not yet, Erin! There are just sooooo many of them and I haven’t had enough time to sort through them yet! I’ve tried a few Biore Aqua Water ones in the past, though, and they’re pretty good but they are not waterproof. :)

  • Kimmy says:

I concur! A blogpost about shipping all your makeup and beauty stuff across the oceans! Hehe. I’ve actually done that once but this was before my collection was as large as it is now (which still isn’t that large). Anyway, girl, why you gotta taunt me with Tom Ford? Lol. xo

    • Jaa says:

Haha #sorrynotsorry! ;D Let’s just say I would never ever want to ever move my makeup collection again especially to a different country! Too much work! Once is more than enough. LOL I’ll think of a way to do a blog post on it, though!

  • krithi says:

i want both bobbibrown stick foundation & TF cheek color :)
