July has been pretty uneventful for me. I can't think of a single thing that made me super excited or jump for joy. I also came down with a cold the past few days. So not fun. But I'm staying positive and hopeful that August will be a better month for me life-wise and health-wise! Now, onto some of the items I've been thoroughly enjoying using this month!

Cover FX Custom Cover Drops (US$44 | Sephora // Thailand ฿2,050 | Sephora)

Cover FX Custom Cover Drops

I've been on a Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation (US$62 | Sephora) kick this month. I love the dewy and airy light formula but unfortunately I cannot use it on its own due to the color being too light and too pink for my summer skin color. Thankfully the Cover FX Custom Cover Drops (review) came to my rescue! I've been “dropping” it into the Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation to darken the shade slightly and now it matches me perfectly! It also increases the foundation's coverage and longevity, too. See my full-face demo here. For anyone who is looking to create your own base with customizable coverage and tint, I recommend you check out the Cover FX Custom Cover Drops!

Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom in No.03 Hydrangea (US$28 | Nordstrom // Thailand ฿1,250 | Sephora)

Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom in No.03 Hydrangea

And what goes better with a fresh, dewy face than a fresh, petal pink cream blush! I am completely satisfied with the color and quality of the Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom in No.03 Hydrangea. It has a velvety, silicone-y feel that is easy to apply and blend out to a soft matte finish. It instantly adds a nice pop of color and youthfulness to my complexion whenever I use it! It doesn't work all that well on the lips as the name suggests but on my cheeks, wow, I'm truly impressed! And what a great wear time as well! Check out my full review right here.

YSL Touche Éclat Blur Primer (US$52 | Sephora // Thailand ฿1,850 | Central)

YSL Touche Éclat Blur Primer

With high amount of silicone, fragrance, and all kinds of different oils, who would have thought it would ever make it to my Favorites list! Against all my judgement, I bought it, and guess what, I've been loving it! It goes on the skin so smoothly and silkily just like you'd expect from a silicone primer but it doesn't feel like heavy silicone sitting on my face once it sets. It becomes one with my skin and doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything at all. It smells divine and does “blur” skin's imperfections as promised. Head on over to this page for my review including a before-and-after photo!

Givenchy Le Rouge N205 Couture Edition 15 US (US$36 | Sephora)

Givenchy Le Rouge N205 Couture Edition 15 US

On my lips most often this month is the Givenchy Le Rouge N205 Couture Edition 15 US! What better to spice up your boring days than putting on a bright lipstick! N205 (Fuchsia Irrésistible) is a classic, flattering, vibrant fuchsia pink that will brighten up your complexion (and mood) the moment you put it on! Click here to see it in action! The formula is creamy soft and provides a long-lasting satin-matte finish. A nice bonus? This Couture Edition has a removable sleeve with a beautiful floral pattern that you can reuse with your other Le Rouge, too!

Glamglow Powercleanse Daily Dual Cleanser (US$39 | Sephora)

Glamglow Powercleanse Daily Dual Cleanser

Let's finish with a skincare item! I've actually been using this Glamglow Powercleanse Daily Dual Cleanser for a couple of months now. On its own, it removes regular and long-wearing makeup effectively but it seems to be struggling a little bit at removing staining products. Hence, I only use it as a final wash step to remove every last bit of impurity from my skin. The mud and oil are separated in the bottle. You can choose to pump each one out individually but I normally just pump both of them out at the same time to mix and lather into a foam. It smells light and fresh and I find that it cleans well without leaving my face stripped. Plus, it comes in a gigantic bottle that I think is going to last me a very long time!

What about you? What are some of your favorite items this month?

Ah, that Givenchy lipstick tempts me yet again!
I have been experimenting mixing foundation (part of it is out of curiosity if I can dupe a cushion foundation formula with what I have, somewhat silly), so the custom color drop sounds intriguing to me. The whole notion is only logical since nearly everyone struggles to find “the perfect” shade not to mention the skin tones change throughout the seasons. :)

To dupe a cushion foundation formula? You go girl! I love the cushion texture, too, so it would be very interesting to hear what you end up with! Yeah, I think the selling point of this product is that you can create your own base with the level of coverage and tint you need whenever you fee like!

It’s always fun to read about other people’s experience with the same item, because it can be so wildly different! Glad to hear you like the Cover Fx drops and the Burberry cream blush, because none of those works too well for me as you know :p The Glamglow cleanser looks cool tho!

    • Jaa says:

LOL. I agree! And I like that we are always being honest to our readers! The Glamglow cleanser is pretty nice and you DO get a lot of product in the bottle!

  • Jen says:

Great roundup! You’ve tempted me again with the Cover FX Custom Drops :) Have a wonderful weekend! xo

  • I have t look out for the Glamgldw cleanser once I get to Sephora again. Which will be in September. Counting the days…

The cleanser is interesting in concept. I’m pretty happy with my current line up of low cost, organic and cruelty-free stuff but I’m looking to try something higher end after I use ’em up. I’ve got my eye on the GlamGlow, Sunday Riley, and Fresh lines.

    • Jaa says:

I recommend the Glamglow Powercleanse Daily Dual Cleanser and Fresh Soy Face Cleanser! :) Haven’t tried any from Sunday Riley, though, so no comment! :)

  • Agata says:

That cleanser looks really interesting! My Nude Skincare Cleansing Jelly is almost gone, maybe I will get this one!

  • Jasmine says:

That primer, so gold and pretty! I’ve been loving all hydrating lipproducts and moisturizing creams, the temperatures can be so harsh to the skin.

  • Ugh, I am so confused! Here you are raving about that YSL primer and making me want to get my hands on it ASAP, but at the same time I also see reviews of people saying it makes their skin crazy greasy… What do I do??

    • Jaa says:

LOL! Then you gotta try a sample! ;) I was so prepared for it to get greasy but it never happened! Maybe because I use very little and let it set before following with my makeup! :)
