If you haven't heard, Luxola is now carrying Sephora Collection products! In Thailand starting this October, you can buy Sephora Collection online exclusively at Luxola. I'm super stoked about this because Sephora doesn't just make makeup, they also make brushes, skincare as well as cool accessories, and miscellaneous tools! There are plenty of great items to choose from and today I have some interesting pieces I received to share with you. Without further ado, let's get started! :)
Sephora Colorful Blush
The color I have is Flirt It Up (No.06) which is described as Intense Pink but in person, it's actually a very wearable, muted pink with a matte finish. The texture is quite firm compared to my other blushes but it can still be picked up easily with any blush brush. I like how the color isn't too rich so I can take my time to build the color intensity as I please. It can be applied lightly or built up to a stronger pink if desired. It blends well without looking patchy or chalky. Wear time is about 5-6 hours before fading slightly. This color also works well as a soft wash of color on the eyes which I featured in the look I did at the end of this post.
Sephora Cream Lip Stain
Liquid lipstick is all the rage these days so I'm happy to receive one! Shown here is Always Red (No.o1) which is a deep, bold, classic red that will look good on any complexion! The cream formula is very smooth but also slightly slippery so you'll need a lip brush for precise and controlled application. It offers plenty of play time so you can casually perfect the shape as well as the color intensity as pleased. It dries down to a soft matte finish that is not drying, bleeding, feathering, or settling into lines. There is a soft, almost vanilla-like scent that dissipates quickly. Wear time is about 7-8 hours on regular days. It does leave a red stain behind once the color starts wearing off and I'm so glad it's not the drying kind of stain. My lips still feel pretty nice and soft by removal time.
Sephora Dramatic Line 24HR Felt Eyeliner
This is a highlighter-style eyeliner pen. I don't ever recall using a liquid eyeliner pen with a thick, angled tip like this so it wasn't easy to draw a smooth line for me at first try. For those starting with liquid eyeliner, I think you're probably better off with the regular pointed tip version called Classic Line. With the Dramatic Line, I struggle at keeping the line even and the wing sharp. It also tugs slightly when I try to go back to smooth the line. The color is very intense black, though, and leaves a subtly shiny finish. It stays on well without smudging or transferring once set. The product doesn't seem to be available on the website, though, so I included the link to the Classic Line version instead.
Sephora Outrageous Volume Dramatic Volume Mascara Waterproof
This mascara has a really wet formula with long drying-time so try not to blink before it sets! The pigment is ultra black and coats lashes evenly in one pass. It layers well without clumping but I wouldn't go beyond a few coats. I also find the wand easy to maneuver and excellent at keeping lashes separated. With 2 coats on, I notice some lengthening effect but not so much in a way of volumizing. It keeps my thin lashes curled up all day and does not weigh them down. Seeing that it has a wet formula, I was expecting it to smudge really badly but it didn't at all. It's actually quite easy to remove with any oil-based eye makeup remover despite being waterproof.
Sephora Retractable Brow Pencil Waterproof
This is an excellent brow pencil that I think everyone should own! It's a good alternative to the more expensive Anastasia Brow Wiz. The pencil is retractable and comes with a wingtip comb to brush brows and blend. The comb doesn't work as well as a spoolie but it will get the job done. I love how super easy it is to outline the shape of the brows, thanks to its always-sharp, skinny tip. However, having such a small tip, it can take some time to properly fill in brows especially if you have sparse brows like I do. The formula stays put for long hours even when my skin gets oily. The only con? I was sent the wrong shade! :) Rich Chestnut (No.03) is too brown and too light. Neutral Gray Brown (No.05) would have been a better match for my black hair. I'm planning to get one as soon as I finish with my Brow Wiz!
