ABOUT MAKEUP MINI SERIES
Makeup Minis is where I feature deluxe samples I received with my online and/or in-store purchases. I'll give you a short description of the product, my initial impression and whether I plan to purchase a full-sized version. I am only listing 3 items per volume to keep the post short and fun! :)

Chanel Démaquillant Yeux Intense Gentle Bi-Phase Eye Makeup Remover

Chanel
Démaquillant Yeux Intense Gentle Bi-Phase Eye Makeup Remover

Yet another excellent product from Chanel! This eye makeup remover will effectively remove everything be it long-wearing or waterproof eye makeup! It is very gentle, does not burn or irritate my skin, and does not leave any greasy feeling afterwards. It also has a very faint refreshing smell signature of Chanel skincare which I really like!

Bareminerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow Broad Spectrum SPF 15

Bareminerals
5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow Broad Spectrum SPF 15

Shown here is “Divine Wine” which is a really nice cool-toned taupe brown. It reminds me a lot of the Rimmel Rich Russset ScandalEyes Shadow Paint but without the shimmer. I love how smooth and creamy the texture is. The pigmentation is excellent, too. You can use it alone or as a base to intensity/extend the longevity of your power eyeshadows.

Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask

Shiseido
Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask

There was only one pair of the eye mask in the packet so it's impossible to tell after just one use whether it helps reduce wrinkles. What I can tell is after leaving it on for a full 15 minutes, it did make the skin under my eyes really soft and hydrated! It doesn't irritate or burn my skin in anyway and leaves no unpleasant residue. I really like it!

Hi Jaa, that eye mask is really good. I went through the whole box last year. My under eye area did feel more hydrated and less wrinkled. The only thing I didn’t like about the product was that it’s lightly scented. I don’t quite understand why they put perfume in an eye product?

I haven’t tried the other two products. I most definitely will check out the bareminerals cream shadow. Sounds very interesting. I may stick to my beloved Clarins eye make up remover for now as the Chanel one is a bit too expensive for me. I will also check out the Biore eye make up remover when I am in Asian as you really enjoy it:)

    Enjoy your weekend!

    • Jaa says:

Oh nice! How long does a box last? I’m a little skeptical about its anti-wrinkle claim but most reviews I have read seem to indicate that it actually works. I might have to buy the full pack pretty soon! ;D

You must try the Bioré eye makeup remover when you get a chance! I seriously love that thing! I was about to repurchase but now I’m thinking of getting the Chanel one instead, lol. I want to try new things all the time!!!!! ^_^

        Hi Jaa,
My box lasted me about 3 months. I think there were 12 packs in one box. I am the same when it comes to anti-aging products. I don’t believe it that much but this one definitely showed some results :)

  • Kira says:

There’s a BB everything now! Haha. I love BareMinerals eyeshadows in general, especially their Ready formula, so I’ll probably pick this up as well!
Would definitely love to try the Shiseido eye mask as well – I’ve tried their eye cream and I quite like it!

    • Jaa says:

I know right?!! Seriously BB this BB that enough with the BB already! LOL! Maybe you can place an order for the eye mask to get the sample of the cream shadow, or vice versa. That way you can try them both! ;D Which eye cream did you try?

      • Kira says:

Just did that lol! Can’t wait to try it out!
The Shiseido Benefiance! It’s supposed to be for wrinkles, but I’ve mainly seen improvements in hydration and conditioning!

        • Jaa says:

Haha yay!!! Let me know your thoughts once you try them! I think I’m going to order the eye mask for sure! I hope it helps with my wrinkles!!! ^_^

  • Sunny says:

I’m definitely intrigued by the cream eyeshadow! I think it’ll make a great base, though I personally definitely need something shimmery on top :)

  • Krithi says:

I definitely buying Chanel makeup remover sounds amazing

  • I like Shiseido’s Wrinkle Resist range a lot! I didn’t know they had an eye mask though.

    • Jaa says:

This is the first thing I tried from the range! Though I think I have samples of other things in the fridge. I have to dig around. LOL. I swear my fridge is getting full of makeup samples!!

  • Natalye says:

I’m interested in the bareMinerals cream shadow

  • Fiona says:

5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow sounds like something I would love to give it a try. xx

  • Sylirael says:

Uuuh… My sister has used that Chanel eye makeup remover for a while, and I really love the scent of Chanel skincare T_T Sadly, this rogue has spent all her expendable gold on a little Makeup Geek lootbag, and will have to stick with her $10 Neutrogena, LOL! It does work, though ;-) As always, I am in awe of your amazing sample hoard!

Hehe, now I have an awesome Jaadragon in mind, sitting atop an epic heap of makeup samples. Obviously, the Jaadragon has HD scales and impeccable eye makeup… I think I may need to write a little story about the quest to the Jaadragon’s Lair… ;-)

    • Jaa says:

Oh I used the Neutrogena one in the past, too! The bi-phase, blue bottle right? Good stuff and super affordable! :)

LOL, please do! I’ll be the first to read!!!! ;D

  • Erin says:

    Jaa,

Can you swatch the shadow for us? Even if it’s just on instagram? I’m looking for a cool toned taupe. Unfortunately they usually pull warm on me!

  • Liz says:

The mini reviews are super helpful. I’ve been meaning to go through my sample bag as well to determine what’s worth a full purchase or not. Glad that someone finally reviewed the “BB” eye thing!

    • Jaa says:

Writing about minis is so much fun, Liz! It’s actually my favorite series on Hellojaa! :) The BB cream shadow is really good! I’m sure you have a sample of it somewhere!!!! ;D
