Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you are doing something fun (& scary?) tonight! As for me, I am staying in to watch a super scary movie called Mama. *-* Anyway, here's a list of my favorite makeup items of the month!
I am absolutely loving this lip stylo! I apply it on my lips and then sheer it out gently with my finger. It's one of a few nudes that doesn't wash me out and I adore the creamy formula!
❷ Dior Lip Glow Color Reviver Gloss (limited edition; US$35 | Izzy's)
This lip gloss is absolutely weightless! The moisturizing formula feels almost like jelly. It glides on very smoothly and the best part? It is non-sticky! It goes on sheer pink but within a couple of minutes it adjusts with my skin tone to create this warm, darker pink on my lips. Very cool! I like to apply this lip gloss over the Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo. The combination of the two creates a lovely shade of soft pink with subtle shine that is perfect for minimal makeup days. :) It was released earlier this year for Spring 2013 collection and it's currently out of stock everywhere. Izzy's (link above) still has some in stock but for a slightly higher than the original price.
❸ Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder in 020 Clair – Translucent 1 (US$52 | Nordstrom)
This powder is so soft and finely-milled. I like to dust a thin layer using a large fluffy brush on top of my BB cream. It applies so beautifully and helps blur minor imperfections to create an illusion of smoother skin. It also keeps my face matte for a long time without being overly drying.
Looks rose gold in the pan but this blush turns gorgeous dusty rose pink on my skin. I can't get enough of it. It's so easy to wear especially on mornings when I am pressed for time. This is one of those fool-proof shades that would look good with any makeup look and outfit!
❺ Tarte Clean Slate 360° Creaseless 12-Hr Smoothing Eye Primer (US$19 | Sephora)
I have a sample size that I'm running low on (and yes, I'm definitely buying a full size after I run out). The texture of this eye primer is quite different from your typical eye primers. It is exceptionally thin and so it spreads very easily. It is white in color, as opposed to nude, and I feel like it enhances the color of my eyeshadows more. I also love how it keeps my eye makeup looking fresh and crease-free all day from morning to night!
I hope you enjoyed my favorites this month! Let me know if you are interested in trying any of them or if they are your favorites as well. :)
