Happy November and Happy Belated Halloween! Did you dress up on Friday? Did you do anything fun? Do share with me in the comment section below! :) My Halloween night came with a short burst of big snowflakes that I didn't expect at all. I had a friend who came to the US for a short visit and it was her first time seeing snow. You can just see how excited she was! Funny how certain things can make you feel like a kid all over again. :D Snow will always be fascinating to me and I'm going to miss it a lot when I eventually move. I won't be missing the cold temperature, though. I was made for a 90°F weather, not sub-zero. ;D

Urban Decay Vice3 Eyeshadow Palette (US$60 | Nordstrom)

Vice3 was my go-to palette and travel companion last month simply because it contains a range of colors that accommodate most of my eye looks such as neutral, smokey, and jewel-toned smokey eyes. The quality of the shadows is excellent — as you would expect from Urban Decay — rich, buttery smooth, insanely pigmented, and long-lasting. All 20 shades are brand new and exclusive to this palette. You also have a selection of matte, satin, shimmery, glittery, and metallic finishes. I also like how thin (thinner than their Vice predecessors) the palette is, and not only that, it comes with its own cushioned zipper-top bag, too! I have a full review and EOTD on this page.

Tom Ford Wicked Cheek Color Blush (US$57 | Nordstrom)

Pink is my preferred color when it comes to blushes and I have to say, Wicked is one beautiful pink! I like that it's not barbie pink but more of a raspberry pink that warms up to my medium complexion nicely. It also makes my face appear bright, cheerful, and youthful (as you can see it on me in my review here). In terms of consistency, it is nothing short of spectacular! The powder is extremely finely-milled and infused with high pigments and delicate shimmer. The Wicked shimmer does not emphasize skin's texture but rather imparts a healthy glow to the face. It's a bit tricky, though, to smooth the hard edges with Wicked but with the help of the Tom Ford Cheek Brush (review), it is possible to easily achieve a really nice blended out effect with a little effort. This color was out of stock for a long time and has recently been re-stocked at some retailers (links above) so if you are a fan of Tom Ford Cheek Color Blushes, I would grab one right away!

Benefit Majorette Booster Blush (US$28 | Sephora // Thailand ฿1,250 | Sephora)

Majorette is a gorgeous peachy coral cream-to-powder blush that can be worn alone or layered under your favorite powder blush to boost its intensity and longevity. I normally wear it by itself as a final step to complete my everyday fresh-faced makeup look. I like to blend using my fingers but a standard blush brush should work just as well (less messy!). The formula is so easy to blend to a natural-looking effect regardless of how it's applied — on bare skin, under or over foundation and powder. It's literally a quick swipe-and-go type of blush as I didn't spend more than 5 seconds on each cheek to complete this look! And don't get me started on the adorable scallop-edged packaging and the “pom-pom peach & pomegranate” scent! So addicting! :) I have a full review including what it looks like layered under Benefit Box o’ Powder Blushes here.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper (US$18 | Sephora // Thailand ฿800 | Sephora)

A black liquid eyeliner I've been using exclusively this month! I heard so many raving reviews for this liner and finally decided to try it. The first time I used it, I wasn't in love at all since I found the brush tip to be too long, too firm, and just plain too hard for my liking. But I kept on using it. After my third or fourth try, the tip became softer and more manageable and that's when I understood all the hype! The fine tip is so precise that it doesn't take any work at all to draw sharp and crisp lines. The tip also has just enough give to make it easy to create wings with just a small flick. And the formula? It isn't called a “tattoo liner” for no reason! This thing will stay on long and strong until you remove it! I have a full review right on this page!

Tom Ford Lip Color Matte in Pussycat (US$50 | Nordstrom)

A new lip color range from Tom Ford comes in a matte finish! You have probably heard and seen millions of swatches of them by now. The collection features 8 brand new shades and every single one of them is pure gorgeousness though the color I fell the hardest for is Pussycat! You could say it's a MLBB shade on me but with a slight hint of beautiful mauve pink in it — super flattering! And I have to say, his matte formula is one of the best, if not the best, mattes I have tried in my makeup years. The texture is ridiculously smooth and applies evenly without clinging to any dry patches. You also get a full-on, complete coverage in one glide. And the best part is the staying power! I've never come across a matte that lasts 5 hours on its own, on bare lips, and applied in one layer before. It's truly amazing! I will have a review up on Monday so stay tuned if you're interested!

And a short note before you leave, don't forget that the Sephora VIB 20% off sale starts this coming Wednesday (for Rouge) and Thursday (for VIB)! You can find all the information including the code and how to RSVP to the VIB Rouge Holiday Soirée Event on this page! :)

  • Yes, please send me all of your favorites pls! LOL! Almost everything on your list is on my wish list. After seeing your swatches and Lily’s of Vice 3, now I want it!! Happy November 2nd! :)

Where are you moving to, Jaa?! I also hate the bitter cold and prefer warmer weather/climate. The only good thing about the cold is being able to wear more makeup without worrying about melting. *bitter* LOL

I’ve never tried Tom Ford makeup and was wild to try at some point before but the lemmings sort of died in the past year or two. You’re stirring them up again!

    • Jaa says:

Oops! Haha #sorrynotsorry! :D The plan is to move back to Thailand! Yay! I miss the 100F weather. LOL. My problem with makeup in cold weather is that my eyes do get watery a lot so it’s technically still “melting” in a way for me, at least for my eye makeup. :D

  • Sylirael says:

STOP IT WITH THE TOM FORD ALREADY. *shakes fists at sky* :-D

You’re making me want all the things! Particularly the expensive things… like Tom Ford and Charlotte Tilbury…

But then I do get to live vicariously through you. So with that in mind, while I nurse my impossible little Nordstrom shopping cart of wishful thinking, ON WITH THE REVIEW! :-D

(((JAAA!))) *maybe if I squeeze you hard enough, a Tom Ford lipsitck will fly all the way over here to Middle Earth – wait, why are you running away? Come back! We need to do this for science! *chases*

    • Jaa says:

And I live vicariously through other bloggers. Haha. It’s a vicious cycle! ;D There is a reason to be happy about TF not being available in your country! Think of all the money you are saving! ;D

  • Rachelle Yeo says:

So which is your favourite black liquid eyeliner? :D Stila or KVD or Etude House??

  • Krithi says:

Nice favorites especially Tom ford blush is so gorgeous

  • Divya says:

I am so tempted to get my hands on Majorette! I guess ill wait till next summer though.. I have plenty of peachy pinks which don’t get enough love already!

    • Jaa says:

Understandable! :D Majorette would be perfect for summer, and spring! Although you can use it all year round honestly. :D

  • Erin says:

I’m curious about the Kat Von D liner, I’ve never heard anything about it. I must be hiding under a rock.
