Hi everyone! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who sent me happy birthday wishes! I had a great day full of surprises and gifts and couldn't have asked for a better birthday. Not looking forward to being a year older but other than that, I'm grateful for everything that's happened in my life so far! :) Now, let's get down to business! Let's see what fabulous items made it into my favorite list this month!

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette (US$54 | Sephora // Thailand ฿2,250 | Sephora)

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette

Birthday month means a lot of party nights! ;) This Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette comes in very handy for creating a variety of subtle and dramatic smokey eye looks. It has basic neutral colors for daytime wear as well. The overall quality of the shadows is pretty nice, just don't expect them to be buttery (and crumbly) like Urban Decay shadows usually are. They have formulated it somehow and now I don't notice a whole lot of fallout anymore which is always a good thing! For a detailed review, head over to this page.

Burberry Cashmere Concealer (US$40 | Nordstrom // Thailand ฿1,500 | Sephora)

Lots of party nights means lots of sleepless nights! ;) And nothing helps disguise my dark under eye circles better than this Burberry Cashmere Concealer! It has the softest applicator and you'll love the feeling of it against your skin. The formula is top-notch; it brightens up my under eye area instantly without looking heavy or cakey. Lasting power is impressive as well. I'm contemplating possibly purchasing a darker color that matches my skin tone to conceal dark spots and scarring. Full review is right on this page.

Tatcha Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35 (US$68 | Tatcha)

Tatcha Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35

My go-to sunscreen of the month is none other than the newly-released Tatcha Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen! It has high SPF and contains both physical and chemical filters (Zinc Oxide 15% and Octisalate 5%) to protect your skin against UVA1, UVA2, and UVB rays. It has such unusual texture for a sunscreen. It dispenses rather thick but spreads extremely easily and smoothly on the skin. It sets to a soft silky matte finish that blurs the appearance of large pores. So not only is it an excellent sunscreen, it is also a good primer all in one! Check out my full review right here.

NARS Kohliner in Minorque (US$25 | Sephora)

This month I am so happy to have found a jet-black, smooth-as-ink black liner that won't budge when used for tightlining! I've been searching for something that wouldn't rub off and transfer to my lower lash line and this NARS Kohliner is one of the very best I've found so far. It leaves a matte finish so it looks very natural on. The application is so smooth and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. I'll definitely be repurchasing once I finish mine! See the look I did using this liner along with the NARS Velvet Shadow Stick in Reykjavik here.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask in Smashed (US$26 | Sephora)

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Masks in Original, Champagne, Smashed, and Maple

Bite Beauty has recently released the 4th shade of their Agave Lip Mask in Maple but unfortunately it is exclusive to Canada only! It's made of real Maple Canadian Syrup and also smells like it. I can't get enough of the delicious scent! However, my heart still belongs to Smashed — a gorgeous cherry red — for its brightening and lightly tinting effect! It's the most pigmented color of all, too. I'll always love and recommend this lip mask to everyone who has dry lips! More information including comparison and swatches of all 4 shades are right here.

When I was in the States, I usually became a bit depressed at the end of September because the cold winter was coming. Guess what, none of that anymore! Now I live and breathe hot weather all year round! Still, a little less hot weather would be more ideal but I'll take warm over cold any day! :)

Speaking of winter, is there anything you don't like about it? For me, subzero temperatures are hard but what I disliked even more was static electricity shocks! There were times when I literally just stood there for a full minute preparing myself to touch the metal faucet at work, and it still shocked me. LOL!

Disclosure: NARS Kohliner in Minorque was provided by NARS Thailand free of charge for review consideration. All opinions expressed herein are honest and my own.

I think all your faves this month are major winners. I’m super into everything but the concealer, mostly because we don’t have a Burberry counter so I can test it.

October is my birthday month, so I’m hoping to convince the few people who give me gifts (my mom and hubby) to just get me a Sephora card so I can get my haul on.

    • Jaa says:

Oh Happy Birthday, Erin! <3 I hope you had a great day! Wait, has it passed? Don't forget to pick up your Sephora Birthday gift! :)

Sephora cards sure make the best gift for us beauty bloggers! ;)

  • Jen says:

I’m a pretty professional enabler, but you tempt me with so many things every month! The Burberry concealer and Tatcha sunscreen are so on my wishlist now :)

  • Brunette says:

Great favorites! I’ve been wanting to try the new Agave Lip Masks, especially the newer shades!

  • Beauty bloss says:

I live in Australia and while we like to complain about the cold winters here, it got nothing on a US or European winter. I’d love to experience a full on snowy winter one day, but I’d imagine it get tedious to have drive and go to work in such winter.
I’ve been eyeing the Burberry concealer and am just waiting to get to the counter to shade match. It sounds beautiful x

I was pretty excited when I first experienced it but after so many years it kind of got old. I always switched over to winter tires every year for precaution. It’s not fun seeing so many cars drifting off the road! Good thing I lived pretty close to where I worked so it didn’t take me long to get there and back.

Definitely recommend the Burberry concealer! :)

  • Eesha says:

Haha… the static electricity shocks… i know where you are coming from. That’s one thing I hate for sure. I live in place with a much warmer weather, so, I like colder months here when the weather is much more pleasant .. better than warm (read hot) or extreme cold:-D :-D
I would like to try that sunscreen. Sounds promising.

    • Jaa says:

Yeah, one thing I like about warmer climate for sure is that I don’t get static shocks! Do try the sunscreen if you can! GREAT stuff! :)

  • Lily says:

I get those static shocks when I touch those trolleys at the supermarket. They’re vicious! I can literally HEAR the spark. Hate them. I have to be careful to only touch the plastic parts.

    • Jaa says:

It hasn’t happened to me yet in Thailand and I hope it stays that way! Wow, and you hear the spark, too?! Just thinking about it makes me cringe!!
