Currently Lovin’: Cool-Toned Pink Blushes

With a skin tone like mine (MAC NC30 with strong yellow undertones), you'd think I'd try to stay away from cool-toned, blue-based pink blushes. But nope! For some reason I'm always attracted to them. I think they add a pop of color in the most unusual way to my complexion and more often than not I look more alive in them! Let me show you a few of my favorite cool-toned pink blushes that are currently in my rotation! :D

Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush

Rosy Glow Healthy Glow
Awakening Blush

US$44 | Nordstrom
Why I love it:
The “cool” thing about this blush is that the color “self-adjusts” to your body chemistry! The scary bright, barbie doll color seen in the pan actually transforms to a nice shade of medium pink on my cheeks that surprisingly does not clash with my complexion at all. I have 001 Petal which goes on matte with a buildable color payoff. Read my full review here.

YSL Blush Voluptè Heart Of Light Powder Blush

Blush Voluptè Heart Of
Light Powder Blush

US$47 | Sephora
Why I love it:
This one is a great option for those starting to experiment with cool-toned pink blushes since the color payoff is much more subtle (but buildable) and wearable. Shown here is a Light 03 shade which has a shimmery peachy pink block surrounded by a matte purple-tinged pink. The effect is soft and sweet, plus, it has such a nice floral scent, too! NARS Gaiety Blush

Powder Blush

US$30 | Sephora
Why I love it:
Gaiety is the most pigmented and most barbie-doll pink of the three. But don't let the bright color fool you since it is easier to wear than it looks! It can be applied subtly for a more wearable/work-appropriate effect if you start small with a light hand and a loose-bristled brush. It has some ultra fine shimmer in the formula but on the skin, it appears mostly matte.

What about you? Do you normally wear this type of pink on your cheeks?
