Shu Uemura
Stage Performer Instant-Glow
This product has such a strange texture. It's thicker than most face primers, has a slight silicone-y feel, and contains tiny beads of pigment suspended in an off-white thick base. Despite the texture, it still spreads and blends easily. It doesn't have any noticeable shimmer but somehow my skin looks slightly brightened and naturally glowy with it on. The scent is really nice, too!

Lancôme
Cils Booster XL Super Enhancing Mascara Base
This mascara base is white in color and the formula is quite wet compared to my other lash primers. The best way I find is to apply mascara immediately after while the white base is still wet to prevent clumps. It seems to enhance the appearance of my lashes by thickening and lengthening them. It also leaves my lashes soft and prevents mascara from smudging and transferring.

LORAC
Behind the Scenes Eye Primer
This primers is slightly tinted. It comes out of the tube pale beige in color but dries down to a clear “film” with a semi-matte finish. The texture is very creamy so it spreads evenly and smoothly on the skin. I don't find it to enhance the eyeshadow vibrancy too much but it definitely helps them adhere to the skin better than without. My eye makeup stay fresh and crease-free all day.

I’m very happy with my Primer Potion, but still, that LORAC primer sounds really great.
UDPP is a classic! ;D What formula do you have? I like the anti-aging version! :)
I’ve actually heard really really good things about the Lorac primer, but if it doesn’t increase eyeshadow vibrancy, then I’m not sure! For the moment I’m trying to use my tube of UDPP up. That thing never dies!
Haha, I find the same! :-D I have a bunch of little sample pots of the UDPP, and I don’t think I’ve managed to use a single one up yet, despite some effort…
I was just telling Sunny… these UDPP tubes are bottomless! LOL!
LOL. The tube is bottomless, Sunny! You’ll never ever use it up! ;D
Jaa,
Have you tried Le Blanc by Chanel? You might like it better than the Shu. It sounds similar.
No, I have not! I have the old version, though, which reminds me, I should try to use it again. I remember really loving it. :)
LORAC eyeshadow primer is actually my favorite!
I like that it doesn’t enhance the vibrancy by too much and is not drying. The tube lasts for so long sometimes I wonder if that is a good thing for their business, though. LOL
LOL I wonder the same thing! I agree, the Lorac one does not feel drying at all. It’s so smooth and feels like a moisturizer on the skin!
I feel the same about the Lorac primer. It is nice that the primer is included with the eye shadow palettes, for the most part, though. I LOVE the Lancome booster, and have for nearly 10 years. It is a great product! And unfortunately I have never tried anything by Shu Uemura :(

Yeah, I like it when brands include something with a palette purchase, a brush, an eye primer, something is better than nothing. :D Wow 10 years? Talk about a loyal customer! ;D My favorite lash primer so far has to be the Urban Decay Subversion. ^_^
The Lorac shadows are so pigmented, I usually don’t use a primer with them. I love that the palettes even come with a primer though!
I totally agree! Lorac shadows are among the best formula hands down! I hope they come out with the Pro 3, 4, and 5 soon! ;D
Hmmm… intrigued a little by the Shu now. Must resist!
I’ve tried the LORAC and didn’t like it because it had too much slip for me and not enough grip. I think I tried the Lancome a long time ago as well but I seriously can’t deal with white mascara primers. It’s not worth the hassle for my puny lashes. :(
I like that the texture of the Lorac primer is so different than the others. There’s no dragging or tugging whatsoever and it’s really gentle to the skin. I suppose I really like to use it for this reason. :) Sometimes I wonder why they make mascara base white?! Wouldn’t it be better clear? :-/
