Back in May, I reviewed a sample tube of the VIIcode O2C All-star Oxygen Eye Cream along with the O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for Dark Circles and O2M Oxygen Eye Mask (see here). I was impressed with all of the products especially the eye cream. I remember seeing drastic improvements on the condition of my under eye area in such a short time but as much as I wanted to continue using it, I couldn't. Why? Because the full-sized jar costs US$1,015! Yeah, not really in my budget range at the moment. However, the brand has just released the new eye cream recently and luckily, this one comes with a much more affordable price tag. I was super excited to receive the product so I put it to test right away. I've been using it for a little more than a month now and today I'm ready to share my experience with you! :)
VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream is housed in a modern-looking cobalt blue jar. Upon opening the lid, you'll see a white “massage piece” that you can use to apply the product. It supposedly helps facilitate intake of nutrients into the skin. Honestly, I find it a little awkward to use and I much prefer applying it with my ring finger instead. The product also comes with a really nice, well-made black leather pouch to keep the jar protected during travel.
VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream is formulated with concentrated extracts from wild fruits and plants in tropical rain forest. It has the ability to fight against free radicals and environmental stressors, repair damaged cells, and combat signs of aging by improving blood circulation to the under eye area. With continued use, the skin around the eyes appears brighter, firmer, and smoother. The brand recommends using it twice a day, morning and evening, for best results.
Full list of ingredients:
The cream has a smooth gel-cream texture. It feels rich and slightly thick upon touch but still spreads and absorbs easily into the skin without leaving an overly oily or greasy feeling behind. It doesn't disappear into the skin instantly, though, because you'll feel a little tackiness for a few minutes before it fully sinks in. During which, try not to follow with makeup right away to avoid an uneven application. Unlike the unscented VIIcode O2C All-star Oxygen Eye Cream, the T2 Oxygen Eye Cream actually has a really nice smell to it that is not overpowering or lingering post application.
I love how the skin around my eyes feels soft, supple, and deeply moisturized immediately after use. The cream feels rich yet extremely light at the same time. Plus, I really love the slight cooling effect that instantly perks up my skin! It doesn't burn, sting, irritate, or make my eyes water during use and is completely safe for contact lens wearers.
After using it for a month, I noticed that my under eye area has indeed improved considerably. It looks brighter, smoother, firmer, and definitely healthier than before. I do have a little bit of fine lines and wrinkles near the outer corners of my eyes and I found that the VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream has helped lessen them to the point that they are no longer noticeable to naked eyes. My concealer/eye makeup doesn't crease like it usually did before I started using this cream so I strongly believe that the product works wonders on reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
There were some nights that I didn't get enough sleep and I found that the cream did help keep my under eye area free of dark circles and dullness. I can't vouch for the effectiveness on severe dark circles, though, but I have a feeling that you can maximize the result by using the cream in combination with the O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for Dark Circles (review). The cream also works wonderfully at getting rid of puffiness provided that you apply it deliberately several times a day. I suppose the cream's “increasing oxygen intake” claim is probably true in this case!
VIIcode is specialized in eye care and all the products I've tried from them have been a total hit. Their prices are a little bit on the expensive side but the results are well worth it. I don't mind spending a little extra for eye creams because our eye area is the first place to show signs of aging. I'm glad VIIcode released the T2 Oxygen Eye Cream as a more affordable option to give customers the opportunity to witness the wonders of their products! At US$284, it's still pretty steep but a little bit goes a really long way with this one. As mentioned above, the cream is very rich and you don't need more than a light dab on each eye per application. I've been using mine for more than a month now and I barely made a dent in it! :)
